Junior Cricket Team
Brett Arthur
Junior Cricket Director
After a long hiatus from cricket, Brett joined the Taylors Lakes Cricket Club after moving to the area and immediately joined the committee and took over the junior coordinator role. He has grown the junior program at Taylors Lakes to be the biggest it has been in close to a decade and is still looking to make improvements to make it the most successful program in the area.
He has taken a step back from the day-to-day running of the program since stepping into the Vice-President role, but still supports the junior coordinator and the greater junior team.
Brian Flanagan
Junior Coordinator
Brian has played cricket for 30+ years for numerous clubs, most recently Preston before joining Taylors Lakes at the start of the 2022/2023 season.
After coaching the u10's for the last two seasons and being a crucial cog of the junior coaching program, Brian has accepted the role of junior coordinator and immediately started looking for areas of further growth and expansion, particularly in the area of girls cricket.
Brian will be supported by Brett in his endeavours and is sure to bring further improvements to the junior program.
Richie Chirnside
Woolworths Blast Coordinator
Another who had a long hiatus from cricket, Richie has previous First XI cricket experience in various Eastern Cricket Competitions and joined the Taylors Lakes Cricket Club team at the beginning of the 2022/2023 Summer, volunteering to take on the difficult role of Woolworths Blast Coordinator (and started playing in 2023/2024).
Despite the challenging role, Richie grabbed the challenge with both hands and increased the program to have over 40 registered participants for the 2023/2024 Summer, and is looking to increase it even further over the coming Summers.
TBD
Various Junior Coaches
Like every local cricket club, our junior program could not run without the help and support of numerous volunteers willing to sacrifice their time and energy as junior coaches.
These coaches will be added as they join the team.
